Acceptable sample types

FNA samples from skin, subcutaneous tissue, lymph nodes, or viscera
Body cavity fluids
Fluid from cystic lesions
Blood smears
Urine sediments
Bone marrow cytology (for evaluation of metastasis)
BAL/TTW
CSF samples

Please Note

CSF samples (and low cellularity BAL/TTW samples) will require a special cytocentrifuge for sample preparation. If this is not available in your practice, it is recommended to send these sample types to the Antech lab for processing rather than submitting digitally.
