Export
You can export images by downloading them locally (DICOM or JPEG format), or by sending them over the network to another DICOM application.
Local
To export files for emailing, burning to CD, placing on a USB drive etc., select Local from the Export drop-down menu. This will show the Export Selected Studies dialog. Select the format you would like to export the images as (JPEG or DICOM). Once you have made your selections, pressing the Add to Export Queue will add the selected studies to the Local Export Queue.
DICOM
This option will the study as a DICOMDIR. When exporting as DICOM, you can choose to include a light weight DICOM viewer with the images by selecting Include viewer. You can also choose to Anonymize files. This option will strip identifying information from the DICOM Tags.
JPEG
When exporting as JPEG, you can choose to Burn overlays onto image. The images exported will have the overlays embedded into them.
Local Export Queue
Pressing the Local Queue button on the Utility Bar will open the Local Export Queue panel.

This panel will show the status of all the current jobs lined up for export.
When an export is complete, you can download a zip file containing it by pressing the Save button.
Pressing the Cancel button will remove an export from the queue.
If only a single patient is selected for export, the zip file will be named in the format of:
<Patient ID>_<Patient Last Name>^<Patient First Name>_<format>.zip

The export is saved in the default browser download location. To save the export to another location, the user may right click the save icon or the name of the download and select Save link as... to specify another location or name for the zip file to be downloaded.

Inside the DICOM Zip
The DICOM zip will contain a DICOMDIR file, and a folder for each patient. Inside each patient folder will be a folder for each Study for that patient. Inside each Study folder will be a folder for each Series in that study. Inside each Series folder are the image files for that series. If you elected to include a viewer with your export, you will also see a Viewer directory. This directory contains eFilm Lite, a lightweight and portable version of eFilm.

Inside the JPEG Zip
The JPEG Zip file will contain a .jpg image of each image from the studies you have selected for export.
Each image will be named in the following format.
<Patient ID>_<Patient Last Name>^<Patient First Name>_<num>.jpg

will be replaced with the Patient ID.<Patient Last Name>
will be replaced with the Patient's Last Name<Patient First Name>
will be replaced with the Patient's First Name<num>
will be replaced with a number to differentiate the image from others from the same patient.
Network
To send studies to another DICOM Application, select the Network option from the Export drop-down menu. This will show the Network Export Dialog. Select the method you would like to send the studies, and the Destination DICOM Nodes you would like to send the studies to. When you are ready to send, press the OK button. This will add the Send to the Network Queue.
You can select multiple destination DICOM Nodes by using CTRL + Click
to select another Node.

Send Selected Studies
When this option is selected, only the studies you have selected on the study list will be sent. The option will be available if you have selected studies and/or patients in the Study List before selecting the Export>Network option.
Studies by Date Range
With this option selected, only studies between the From and To date will be sent. Clicking into the From or To fields will open a calendar. You can also manually enter the dates in the YYYY-MM-DD
format.
Images by Date Range
With this option selected, only images between the From and To date will be sent. Clicking into the From or To fields will open a calendar. You can also manually enter the dates in the YYYY-MM-DD
format.
High Priority
Selecting this option will add this export the the Export Queue with High Priority. When a High Priority study is added to the Export Queue:
- SmartPACS will stop every transmission occurring because of automatic routing.
- SmartPACS will stop every transmission occurring at Normal priority.
- SmartPACS will immediately send the selected study/studies, or it will queue it after other transmissions set at High Priority.
- Transmissions at Normal priority and automatic routing will resume only after the High Priority transmissions are completed.
