Thumbnail Panel

The thumbnail Panel is where you can select which images are displayed in the Viewport.

Desktop#

Thumbnail Panel

The Thumbnail panel is displayed on the left side of the Viewer. This is a scrollable a list of the Studies selected for viewing from the Shot List screen.

Each study is marked with a blue bar containing the study information.. Studies are composed of stacks of images. Stacks are made up of the images in a single Series within the study or the individual frames of a multi-frame Image such as CT or MR images. Each Stack is labeled with the Modality, the Series Number out of how many total images are in the series, and the Series Description. Within a Stack, you can scroll to see all the image thumbnails.

note

DX images in the same series do not stack. Each image has it's own thumbnail

Thumbnail Selected Study

Thumbnails are displayed for each image in the Stack. The currently selected stack is indicated by a blue border around the stack. If the Stack has a single thumbnail, this will have a blue border as well. If the stack has multiple thumbnails, the currently selected image within a stack is indicated by a white border around it.

tip

You can configure the Thumbnails so that only one image is shown per Stack in the Viewer Settings. Displaying a single thumbnail is ideal for performance.

note

The specific image within the series is highlighted white only if the stack contains multiple images and the Settings are set to display a thumbnail for each image in the stack. If the system is configured for a Single Thumbnail, the white border will not be displayed.

Thumbnail Panel Collapse

You can collapse or expand the Thumbnail panel by pressing the bar on the right side of the Thumbnail Panel.

Pressing the Collapse button on a Stack or Study will collapse it. Pressing on the button again will expand the item.

Refresh Study

Pressing the Refresh button will synchronize the images in a Stack or Study with the DICOM archive. If additional images have been received by the server since the Viewer was loaded, those new images will be added into the current viewer session.

Loaded Indicator

When the images in a stack have been loaded into memory, you will see this check mark. The Loaded Indicator icon is shown when the images in a stack have been fully loaded.

Pressing a Stack will show the image in the currently active cell of the Viewport. You can also select a specific image from a stack by pressing on the thumbnail for that image. Dragging the thumbnail to the desired viewport tile will load the image into that tile.
