MPPS

MPPS or Modality Performed Procedure Step, provides a mechanism for modalities to pass information about the imaging they are performing back to the RIS and/or PACS. SmartDR can be configured to send MPPS messages to a specified server.

With an MPPS Server configured, when a study is created from a Worklist Item, the system will send an N-CREATE message, setting the status to IN PROGRESS.

Each time an image is acquired in this study, an N-SET message will be sent to the MPPS Server with information about the Performed Procedure Step and the status of IN PROGRESS.

When the study is completed, the system will send an N-SET message with the status of COMPLETE.
