Intermediate Options

Default Species
This option sets which species is assigned by default when adding a patient. By default this will be set to either Canine or Equine.
If you don't want a default species assigned, None is a selectable option within the dropdown.
Default Weight Units
Because DICOM requires weight to be in kilograms, the system stores the patient's weight in kilograms. Setting this option to lbs will allow the user to enter the weight in pounds and display the weight in pounds. By default this is set to kg.
Generate Patient Id
When this checkbox is checked, the system will automatically generate a Patient Id for new patients. The default setting is unchecked, The patient Id is generated from the system time and is in the form MMddyyhhmmss
.
Patient Id Prefix
This option is disabled until Generate Patient Id is set to True. When generating a Patient Id, the system will prepend it with this value.
For example on December 13, 2021 at 4:55:33 PM, a Patient Id Prefix of PID
will be added to the generated ID 121321165533
to make PID121321165533
.
One Image Per Series
When this option is set to True the system assigns each image a new series ID at acquisition.
Default Patient Last Name to Owner Last Name
This option affects Creating a patient. When it is set to True, the system will use the owner's last name as the patient's last name. You can override this by manually entering something for the patient's last name. By default it is set to False.
Apply Orientation Marker
Setting this to True will enable the software to apply a small marker in the upper left corner of the image. This marker indicates how many flips have been applied to the image, an F indicates an even number of flips and a B indicates an odd number. This setting defaults to False.

Pretend we're working with an older system that still uses film. When holding the xray normally you're looking at the Front, but if you flip it over once you'll see the Back. Flip the image over a second time and you're looking at the Front again.
Prompt When Adding Shots
When this option is set to True, the system will prompt the user to confirm that they wish to add shots to a study that already has images acquired. By default it is set to False.
Tag for Doctor Name
When exporting as DICOM, the system will write the name of the Vet selected in the study to the specified tag. Options are Performing Physician (0008,1050) and Referring Physician (0008,0090). The default setting is Performing Physician.
Enable Reject Reason
When set to True the user will be required to select a reason when rejecting an image. They will see a form popup with a Combo Box with reasons for the rejection. By default this is set to False
Manual Generator Technique Entry
This option enables Manual Technique Entry in the Acquire Review Screen when enabled. You have two options if you wish to enable this setting, mAs, or mA - mS where you input yor mA and time independently. This setting defaults to False, or disabled.
Enabling this function will require you to fill out the technique before you can end a study.

Annotation Highlight Color
This setting allows you to customize the color of your annotations when you hover your mouse over them.
Annotation Highlight Anchor Color

This may delay final image delivery by several seconds.
