Generator Integration
If a generator has been integrated with the system, the technique will change automatically when a shot is selected. If you do not have a generator integrated, you can manually enter the technique used for a shot instead if Manual Generator Technique Entry is enabled in Settings -> Intermediate Config Options.
Generator Integration Settings can be found in the Settings Screen in the Generator Section.
To view generator settings for the currently selected shot, press the Generator button. This will open the Generator panel.

Here you can adjust the current technique for the shot. To adjust kVp or mAs, use the Up and Down arrows. To save the current technique as the new default for the shot, press the Save button. After pressing Save, the panel will close. Pressing Cancel will undo the changes and close the panel. For more information, press the Information button in the top right of the panel.
Generator Errors
If an error occurs with the generator, the Generator Error Popup will be shown. Press the button to clear the error. Clearing the error on the Generator console will close the popup automatically.
There are three types of Errors.
- Standard Error
- Press the Clear Error button. This will attempt to clear the error with the generator. If it succeeds, the popup will close.
- Reset Error
- Press the Reset Error button. This will attempt to clear the error with the generator. If it succeeds, the popup will close.
- Restart Generator Error
- Press the Restart Generator button. This will attempt to restart the generator.
The settings for each shot are unique to a patient's size. See the Acq Profiles section in the Settings Screen to edit the settings for all sizes.
DICOM Tags
When a generator is integrated with SmartDR Fusion, the X-Ray dose is stored to the database for each image. The information is added to the following DICOM Tags on export.
- KVP (0018,0060)
- X-Ray Tube Current (0018,1151)
- Exposure Time (0018,1150)
- Exposure Time in µS (0018,8150)
- Exposure (0018,1152)
- Exposure in µAs (0018,1153)
If a generator is not configured, each image will have 0's for each tag. Manual Technique Entry may be used.
Reporting
The technique of each image is also used to generate the AAHA Report.
